[Chilling at home]
Hello, I am Nathaniel the lion “rawr”. I’m a pretty chill guy, just a little fussy when I have gas, which somehow I have a lot of recently. You should hear my farts! I am definitely my father’s son. My parents think I’m a pretty handsome fella except when I’m crying. I have 3 sets of grandparents, 3 uncles, and 3 aunties, 2 cousins, and a whole bunch of other auntie and uncles at church. I am so blessed.
I like it when people hold me, I can just sleep and not have to eat although that sometimes ends up making me really hungry and i cry so much that I don’t realize the milk is right in front of me.
I get hot and sweaty like my dad so they have to bath or wipe me down everyday.
I grunt a lot, and make a lot of noise when I’m sleeping so mom and dad already make me sleep in my own room. However, daddy loves me so much that he’ll sleep with me on the extra bed in the room. He snores so we keep each other company at night. Mommy’s a light sleeper so she stays in their room. We need to buy her ear plugs if we ever go on family trips.
My parents hope that I will enjoy music. They’re not sure if I do yet. I wonder when they are going to make me start taking piano lessons. Dad always plays guitar and mom will play the piano with me. I don’t usually cry when they do. Well, maybe sometimes when mom’s singing to me.
You guys know that my mom’s one active lady. She was still exercising even on the day when her labor pains began. Even though I make her so tired she’s starting to take me on walks around the neighborhood in the afternoons. It’s nice to be out and be able to see all the trees and breathe the fresh air. Being outdoors can help stimulate my eyes and brain, but I think mom is doing it more for herself.
I can lift my head pretty high now when I’m on my tummy. No more face plants. That means my neck is pretty strong. Don’t worry when you hold me. I am pretty strong for a little guy. I’ll let you know if I’m uncomfortable. I’ll start squirming or crying.
Everyone says I have big feet and long toes. Maybe I’ll be tall and be a basketball player. But who knows, that’s awhile away. Right now all I plan on doing is eat, sleep, poop, and occasionally cry when I want attention.
I’m almost 6 weeks old and trying to sleep longer so my parents won’t be so tired. I’m still working with my parents to let them know what I want. They are often very confused. I guess my cries all sound the same. They’ll get it one day.
Keep praying for me that I’ll continue to grow healthy and strong, and pray for my parents to stay sane.
